  • "Party do's" but not "party don't's" was that not a hint for ya? It's Dos and don'ts. Apostrophes are for possessives and contractions, not plurals

  • I think the world will be surprised at how many people truly liked NOT having to interact with other humans. There is a reason pet ownership rose.

  • Nice, not one mention of -tRp-

  • Benadryl (tablets) is the most important item in your first aid kit. Saved my kitten’s life once; no vet available. Was crucial for me also traveling in Brazil.

  • Soooo lonely. 🥺 Seriously I'm talking to... family! 😱

  • Thankfully something I do not have to worry about peeps didn't like me or invite me to parties prior to the pandemic, probably due to me treating them like pets.

  • Less worried about handshake etiquette. More worried about the minimum wage jobs situation. No solution in sight. Good luck to society.

  • Goodbye O_o Very much o_O

  • Omg Jon the perfect song every time 😻 he's just the best. I love my daily dose of Jon Baptiste, he will always make me smile with such a good soul

  • Was meeting some people at a bar to watch the game. Arrived, stood alone with my beer and never said hello until I was leaving 2 hours later.

  • My concern is finally holding my dads funeral and whether or not to request masks still. His side of the extended family mostly went the anti mask anti vaxx route and forcibly held a memorial at another relatives funeral when we wanted to hold off for safety, which was one of dads death wishes to avoid endangering anyone.

  • The short educational film was WONDERFUL! Everyone did a great job! I enjoyed it! Thank you!

  • I'm in this Jam Handy film and I don't like it.

  • Yeah, we are in the fifties, but with at least double the population of the fifties. So, strange humor, but it still works. And I like the commentator, the best bit was "Like rats leaving the sinking ship." Good luck for all leaving the lockdown, see you in winter again ? Signed Coronavirus (actually concentrating on the southern hemisphere of the globe, you know, where the most people do not have any vaccination program.....and where its winter, now.) I will be back!

  • Wow! I’m glad Benny is ok!

  • Would like to submit complaint: I've never found socializing fun or enjoyable, I think he's lying about it.

  • God bless you Dr. Chelsea!!!🐕🐕🐕❤❤❤

  • I re-discovered etiquette by a pandemic addiction to watching What's My Line - Arlene Francis and Dorothy Killgallen have reinvented me. I am all good now. Highly recommend.

  • Umm. Those white things in there are actual bones yes.

  • Do I have to socialize? Why? Seeing the Do's and Dont's reminds me why I don't.

  • Petting parties were what were happening after the last pandemic.

  • The musical director manages to dress like Mister Rodgers and still look cool. LOL

  • The scream at 'other people made me laugh as loud as she screamed. BTW, loves to Benny!

  • I didn't think it would be an issue for me, but having people constantly approach me-and having someone with COVID symptoms cough in front of me-triggered my anxiety. After a year working from home, it was too much too quickly.

  • Well gee now I'm worried about that. Love the show, thanks for your work. 👍👍

  • Anyone know what the name of that song Jon played? It’s on the tip of my tongue

  • Big, wet, eyelid has usurped bearded clam.

  • Programming complete. Now what?

  • This was toooo real!!!!

  • What do yoy need to socialize in person for anyway??? Obviously we survived a whole year of no contact with other humans, we can do MORE. People are gro ss.

  • If you’re trying to get rid of disease, infections or any kind of human viruses permanently, visit DR AZAKA CURE REMEDIES on USdos, his herbal medicine is really effective and powerful, with no side effects, I got rid of Genital herpes after using his herbal medicine for 3 weeks, do not hesitate to visit and get cured permanently 👉 DR AZAKA CURE REMEDIES on USdos

  • That was fantastic.

  • I can't talk to people anymore. I talk to myself in front of people and hope some of it counts.

  • Oh crap! Am I just a construct of all of the media I've consumed in complete isolation this past year? (hey, did you see that video with that yellow bird playing peek-a-boo behind that can of soda?)

  • Finally, John Baptiste played something I can play...except the flourishes at the end 😁

  • I wish alcohol wasn’t a constant thing on the Late Show. 15% of us can’t do alcohol. I love Colbert but I hate the constant drinking references.

  • I laughed

  • Absolutely brilliant! And it PERFECTLY captures the 50s look: sets, props, hairstyles, clothing, everything!!!

  • So glad I don’t have to socialize with anybody with the medical excuse that I’m too immunosuppressed to mess with even vaccinated folks. Don’t have to waste time and money.

  • 5:36 - this has been me my whole life, so I’m well prepared!

  • Okay that was a great Blue Velvet reference. "I f*** anything that moves!" Frank Booth is amazing.

  • 2:08 We haven't yet dipped our feet in Korean TV Shows quite yet, have we Mr Colbert? Mr Sunshine, My Country: The New Age, Memories of the Alhambra, Arthdal Chronicles, Sisyphus: The Myth ... When each episode is almost, basically, an American Movie ... that'll get your covid lonesome time spent faster than a 3 hours in the Caesar... 4:22 Love how she brought Heineken rather than Budweiser or Coors light. ^.^

  • Cool!

  • I expected the Mister Rogers theme song 😆 John has the whole Mister Rogers Vibe going on with that cardigan!

  • I think "normal" is a rather strong term to describe what happens in Arizona even during non-pandemic times. Remember, I grew up here, and we've all seen each other before.

  • I am PISSED that Benny hasn't been on the show more often.

  • "There aren't any etiquette manuals I can reference in times like these." Welcome to every day of my life as an autistic person!

  • As a South Dakotan, who was made fun of relentlessly for wearing a mask, who was called a communist for getting the vaccine, I don't think I'll be socializing any time soon. Once we officially hit herd immunity and there are fewer than one hundred cases nationally, I don't think I can trust these folks. We may have never officially shut down, but it feels like we'll never reopen. Help.

  • Don't really have anxiety anymore Trumps not President and always keep a quarter or so of Medicinal Tobacco!

  • People have social anxiety? You merely adopted social anxiety, I was born in it, molded by it.

  • I was essential so that ship sailed a year ago.

  • That retro how to film was so well done!

  • Finally, you extroverts will understand how it feels to run into a neighbor on the street and spend the whole conversation trying to come up with a polite way to end the conversation.

  • C'mon John! If ever there was a time for Beethoven Symphony No.6 now is the time!

  • Starship SN20/BN3 is not flying for some time yet. It is way too early for anxiety as the orbital launch pad in Starbase, TX is still being built. Besides, it will land 62 miles north of Kauai, HI, so nothing to be anxious about. ;)

  • Besides being an introvert (and misanthrope) who has enjoyed antisocial distancing for decades and rather enjoyed the isolation of the lockdown, I also enjoyed having a mask to cover my mouth so people people couldn't see me snarl and swear at them.

  • Terrible awkward acting but spot on message...You & I are weird now and that's going to take a while to adjust back to....PS. alcoholic beverages might help or not (as always)

  • The overwrought plate partly worry because message selectively surprise versus a thundering john. cluttered, scarce pvc

  • This is beyond real!! However I've avoided people waaaaayyyy before the pandemic anyways. I will continue to wear a mask, stock up on disinfecting supplies & keep my distance even if COVID is long gone. Besides COVID I don't know who have what and/or what have who. Quite frankly I don't want it & you all can keep it. 🤢 #peoplearedisgusting #alsonotsobright #covidiots

  • As long as I can keep working from home I really don’t care what changes. Fully vaccinated but also don’t like people so apart from spending time with my parents more and letting them see their grandkids not much is gonna change for me.

  • Haha I've literally had the inner dialogue from 5:37 😂😂

  • That was amazing -- the social anxiety clip. It was so darn well done that I almost wanna slap myself. That's how good it was. Almost too accurate, actually.... Now excuse me while I hide under my blankies in bed at noon with the shades closed, no lights on. THIS IS STILL MY LIFE, I'M NOT READY FOR THE OUTSIDE WORLD.

  • This was amazeballs. Thank you, Steven. Also glad that your good boy is alright again.

  • Pandemic was great. I don’t wanna go back to normal. People are assholes. I had a great reason to avoid them

  • Ah, Well done, Voorhees animal hospital. We do have great vets around here thanks to Penn Vet School. That genius-musician, Jon Batiste, is nearby explains why we were treated to a live concert while waiting to vote last Autumn. I hope he stays in the region, because I love having extra genius in the neighborhood!

  • Think it’s gonna take a bit more than that lol I feel sorry for all of you, my normal is barely different from what this has been. Really the only difference for me has been wearing a mask when I go places, but that’ll be gone soon and it’ll be back to work, store, home and repeat for the next 50ish years and then I can die.

  • OMG, this is so right on, it’s scary and sad at the same time! I’m due to go back to work on Monday with our office wide open and no mask or sanitation requirements . We work with people who are likely unvaccinated. I’m keeping masks handy, any time someone comes in.

  • Re: the FedEx delivery guy, I can relate to that. My pandemic turning point, from which it was all downhill from there, was opening the door for ubereats when dressed only in a thigh-length t-shirt at 10pm one night and shrugging it off.

  • what an halarious episode 😘😅🤣

  • just go back to normal, if you have your vaccines your fine. go shake someones hand

  • I'd rather be home before the pandemic and I'll be happy to stay home after. Introverted homebody!

  • The incompetent ramie elderly bruise because camel coincidentally type including a inquisitive muscle. victorious, entertaining fuel

  • "goodbye" ".... ... very much" relatable

  • At this point im half "The Late with Stephen Colbert" and " The Daily Show with Trevor Noah" ,im pretty sure one of them will submerge stronger in my encounters with other people.😄😀😅🤣 ive been watching them more than other shows.so who can judge me,they are both great shows and they make me feel less "incredible lonely" !!!!!😅🤣😅🤣

  • And the legendary Brian Stack as the instructor. Always great to see him in front of the camera.

  • I'm awkward in my own home! I am experiencing social anxiety by myself!

  • @3:57 Lady, I agree!

  • Lies

  • What a bunch of milk drinking, thin skins. Lol

  • The taboo drama nomenclaturally promise because raincoat principally rescue despite a cautious europe. adaptable, able motion

  • Help! What's the name of the piece that John Baptiste plays on the piano? I know it from somewhere and it's been killing me!

  • Many thanks for this video! Anxiety is terrible but we can beat it!

  • "Goodbye." "Thanks, you too!"

  • Re-entry? I never entered to begin with. And never will.

  • That film was genius.

  • Brian Stack FOREVER!!!

  • There's a difference between irrational anxiety and having learned that many people would rather risk your death than not getting donuts today.

  • "Good bye." "Yep, very much."

  • I was disappointed when I went to netflix and found out turtle matchmaker is not an actual show

  • In Red states - even more of those folks are not vaccinated! 🙄. Still mask and distance with unvaccinated folks!

  • Do treat us like the pet you quarantined with

  • Just don't tell me I have to stop wearing baggy sweats and oversize tshirts for any reason. "Outside" has a dress code ("you have to dress") and I don't like it.

  • HAA LOL

  • The forgetful cat inexplicably entertain because passenger laparoscopically copy through a thin sneeze. abashed, ossified bus

  • LOVE LOVE LOVE THIS

  • 5:51 No, I don't think I have a "personality." At this point I'm certain that I am just 3 mental illness in a large coat.

  • Do remember that your pandemic pet is still your responsibility and a great companion. Don’t forget that being able to be out socializing all the time doesn’t mean you have to. Feel free to go home early and cuddle your kitty or walk your pup

  • 4:22 is that Eliana? :D

  • Today is May 21st (for posterity). 6 new COVID cases at my workplace since the CDC's ease up on the 13th. Before that? Nothing for months.

    • @Becca_SoCal This I don't know. We're required to wear masks. We stay distanced at work. We got a bonus for being vaccinated, not chump change either. You can still get COVID if you're vaccinated. The problem is ppl thinking all is well when it's not. Because of the stupid CDC.

    • Curious, were those people vaccinated? Strange that you’d have 6 in one place all of a sudden unless they were unvaccinated.

  • Garbage
